Max made his debut, using a loonatic Gimmick, alongside Flare Jack, calling themselves The Misfits, when they faced The Circus Clowns, in a winning effort. At Ruthless Aggression, The Misfits faced The Circus Clowns in a tables match and won to become the first EFW World Tag Team Champions. The following night, The Misfits teamed with Duke Jackson to face The Circus Clowns and the EFW Zero G Champion, Demonic DJ, in a winning effort. The Misfits didn't compete again until the Supremacy X PPV event, where they faced Hunter Blakesfield and Hannah Layla, in a hardcore match. The Misfits were unsuccessful and lost the tag titles, making them the first champions to lose their titles.
